Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Superintendent (2004 - 2015)
Project 1- Kashagan Offshore Field Development, US$50 billion, AGIP KCO, KAZAKHSTAN.
• Kashagan field is an offshore oil field in Kazakhstan's zone of the Caspian Sea; it is estimated that the Kashagan field has reserves of about 13 billion barrels of crude oil recoverable with the use of gas re-injection. the gas contains huge volumes of associated gas with highly toxic and corrosive hydrogen sulfide (H2S) concentrations of 18-20%. Phase-1 with target production of 370,000 barrels a day.
• Onshore role: responsible for electrical activities related to execution of the project which encompasses site engineering, procurement (technical evaluation) and equipment installation. All electrical equipment installation and onshore fabrication works were performed in the newly developed ERSAI yard which I participated in its design and construction; Yard occupies total area of 2.2 km2; Yard Facilities include power generation units complete with HV electrical grid connection, fabrication area, maintenance shops, jetty, water treatment plant, desalination plant and accommodation area (including recreation facilities) for 2,300 people
• Offshore role: responsible for supervision of all electrical works associated with offshore Hook-up and commissioning of offshore facilities.
Project 2- OML 58 Upgrade Project, US$3 billion, Total E&P Nigeria Limited, NIGERIA.
• The OML 58 Obite gas treatment plant has been on stream since December 1999. The OML 58 upgrade project is designed to increase gas production capacity from 10.6 million cubic meters per day to 15.6 million cubic meters per day, and also increase oil and condensate output by around 15,000 barrels per day bringing the total output to 140,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
• Responsible for all electrical works associated with construction and commissioning of new gas treatment train in Obite Gas Plant.
Project 3- Husky Sunrise Oil Sands Central Processing Facility, US$4 billion, Husky Energy, Canada.
• The CPF is located 60km north of Fort McMurray-Alberta, use steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) technology to recover the bitumen and will produce 60,000 barrels per day.
• Responsible for the supervision of all electrical construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning works performed by the electrical subcontractors, all construction and commissioning activities for phase-1 has been successfully completed.
Project 4- Construction of Keppel KFELS B Class Jackup Drilling Rig, US$320 million, KazMunaiGas JSC, KAZAKHSTAN.
• The Keppel KFELS B Class Jackup Rig is highly efficient drilling platform incorporates advanced and fully-automated high capacity rack, pinion elevating system and self-positioning fixation system.
• Responsible for all electrical construction activities related to the fabrication, outfitting and commissioning of the drilling rig, All construction and commissioning activities has been completed.
Project 5- Khurbet Crude Oil Central Processing Facility, Gulfsands Petroleum, SYRIA.
• The Central Processing Facility with the capacity to process 50,000 barrels per day to be installed at the Khurbet East oil field, on Block 26.
• Responsible for the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for electrical engineering scope including power generation, distribution network, purchase specifications and selection of equipment, design activities performed in saipem’s office at VIBO VALENTIA – ITALY.
